Hotel Jansen Amsterdam focuses not on tourists, but rather on students and young professionals seeking temporary living and working space. For this urban target group, a flexible access system was a necessity.
The new Walk-In trend continues to win over the hospitality industry: more and more guests want to check in with their mobile phone. Hotel Jansen Amsterdam adapted to this trend by choosing the latest Mobile Access system from ASSA ABLOY Hospitality in combination with the FlexPass by Burgman Security.
Access by mobile phone
Hotel Jansen is a new hotel concept that does not facilitate for tourists, but focuses on students, trainees and young professionals working or studying for a temporary period in Amsterdam. In addition to a homely and modern atmosphere, Hotel Jansen wanted to offer contemporary comforts, such as access control by mobile phone.
27 Mobile Access Locks
Burgman Security installed a total of 174 Classic RFID locks in Hotel Jansen. As a test case, 27 doors were fitted with Bluetooth card for mobile acces control. With the use of the Flexipass app, delivered with Burgman Security VingCard locks, guests can quickly and easily access bij entering a single code once. A complete check-in is no longer required.
Innovations for higher service levels
"The guests are very satisfied with the system," says hotel manager Klaas Bruinsma. "And we are pleased that our guests can check-in at late hours, without the need for a reception. Hotel Jansen is doing very well: we are fully booked, the whole year round. With innovations like Mobile Access, we want to provide top service and create a sense of community. So that people have fun together and feel at home here. Listening to what the customer needs is very important."
