This April DOM launches a Tapkey application that turns mobile phones into smart keys for digital cylinders, door fittings and padlocks. An innovative keyless system that can easily be set up and managed by private users.

DOM Tapkey is a new cloud-based software solution that transforms ordinary smartphones into smart digital keyrings. The app works in conjunction with DOM's hardware and electronics, such as the Pro digital cylinder, Guardian electronic door fittings and padlocks. Starting from May 2017, buyers of DOM hardware will receive 3 Tapkey licenses per product.

Keyless solution for SMEs and private homes
Customers download the DOM Tapkey app via Google or Apple Store and install the authorized users themselves for every lock. These settings can be altered real-time, at distance and for a set duration. Due to this flexability the DOM Tapkey is an interessting tool for private owners to let in personnel or guests (such Airbnb tenants) from a distance. While companies can use the Tapkey to give staff and customers access to shared spaces, mailboxes or parking doors. The Tapkey is protected by end-to-end encryption and DOM hardware meets the highest safety norms.

Available from April 2017, via Google or Apple Store.

DOM Netherlands is a participant of Amsterdam Security Expo from 31 October till 2 November 2017.
