With the launch of Amsterdam Security, RAI Amsterdam is responding to the recent developments in the security market. This new international event focusses on companies, organizations and public entities engaged in security solutions. Specific security issues of the end users, such as airports, retail, supply chains and public safety, are not covered at traditional trade fairs. Amsterdam Security is a new type of event, developed especially to create, facilitate and renew valuable connections. The first edition of Amsterdam Security is scheduled from 31 October to 2 November 2017 at RAI Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

A changing market
Security systems are becoming more complex due, amongst others, to the increased involvement of IT. Therefore security companies seek direct contact with end users. Furthermore, with the ongoing integration with IT, not only the security professional shapes security systems, but also the IT specialist has an important role. But where to find the decision makers and influencers of end users? The traditional trade fairs are product/technology orientated, while the end users look for solutions. They find their specific security questions unanswered in the large trade fairs.

Valuable connections
Anticipating on these developments, RAI Amsterdam launches Amsterdam Security. Not a traditional trade fair or conference but a convention style event, designed to facilitate the encounter between end user and solution supplier. A three days event offers a variety of central keynotes, market visions and pitches, break-out sessions and master classes. Besides, with the main theme ‘bridging the gap between IT and security’, special attention is payed to specific ‘vertical’ segments such as transport, supply chain, critical infrastructure, homeland security, etc. The physical meetings are empowered by modern virtual techniques as ASEC TV and interactive social media.

Founded by Partners
The program is developed in close consultation with the market: founding partners, visitors and knowledge institutes. The founding partners are a reflection of the market: system integrators, manufacturers, IT- and security service companies. They become members of the Advisory Board of Amsterdam Security 2017. The Board controls and monitors the concept of Amsterdam Security, determines the themes and keynote speakers for the plenary program and advises on the main tracks in the dedicated sessions.

Co-located with SSA, the largest safety & security trade fair in the Benelux
Amsterdam Security 2017 is co-located with the trade fair SSA, Safety Security Amsterdam, the largest safety & security trade fair in the Benelux.
